RESOLUTION NO. R P-40a 1 —59 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXTENSION OF WEED REMOVAL CONTRACT <br /> -BRAD FRANZEN- <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur solicited bids to hire private contractors to provide weed <br /> removal and mowing services on lots owned by the Macon County Trustee, the City of Decatur <br /> and privately-owned violation lots which have been divided into 12 districts; and, <br /> WHEREAS, District 7 was awarded to Brad Franzen; and <br /> WHEREAS, the services provided shall extend to December 31, 2021. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the City of Decatur, Illinois is hereby, authorized and directed to make <br /> payments to Brad Franzen, upon receipt of invoice for said weed removal at violation lots at$40 <br /> per mowing in District 7, for an estimated annual cost of$11,000 (Eleven thousand dollars) and <br /> for the annual maintenance of District 7 at a cost of$15,450 (Fifteen thousand four hundred fifty <br /> dollars). <br /> PRESENTED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of April 2021. <br /> Z�Jllkoya A'�(k <br /> ULIE MOORE WOLFE, AYOR <br /> ATTEST: <br /> KIM ALTHOFF, CITY CLERK <br />
