RESOLUTION NO. R K7)-0 c)-(— (n 1 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXTENSION OF WEED REMOVAL CONTRACT <br /> -PHILLIP TURNER- <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Decatur solicited bids to hire private contractors to provide weed <br /> removal and mowing services on lots owned by the Macon County Trustee, the City of Decatur <br /> and privately-owned violation lots which have been divided into 12 districts; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Districts 3, 11 and 12 were awarded to Phillip Turner; and <br /> WHEREAS, the services provided shall extend to December 31, 2021. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the City of Decatur, Illinois is hereby, authorized and directed to make <br /> payments to Phillip Turner, upon receipt of invoice for said weed removal at violation lots at$45 <br /> per mowing in Districts 3, 11 and 12, for an estimated annual cost of$17,000 (Seventeen <br /> thousand dollars) and for the annual maintenance of District 3 at a cost of$27,720 (Twenty- <br /> seven thousand seven hundred twenty dollars); District 11 at a cost of$24,885 (Twenty-four <br /> thousand eight hundred eighty-five dollars); and, District 12 at a cost of$24,570 (Twenty-four <br /> thousand five hundred seventy dollars). <br /> PRESENTED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of April 2021. <br /> LIE MOORE WOLFE, M OR <br /> ATTEST: <br /> KIM ALTHOFF, CITY CLERK <br />
