RESOLUTION NO. KI-v-3-1 G3 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A GRANT AGREEMENT <br /> AMENDMENT WITH THE FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION FOR <br /> REMAINING CARES ACT FUNDS AWARDED <br /> WHEREAS,the Federal Transit Administrator has been delegated authority to award Federal <br /> financial assistance under the 2020 CARES Act and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur was awarded$6,168,433 in funding to be utilized to offset <br /> impacts of COVID-19, and only previously applied for$4,5000,000 and, <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Decatur desire to receive the full grant award and has been approved to <br /> receive the remaining$1,668,433 to be utilized for Decatur Public Transit capital needs; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> 1. That the Mass Transit Administrator is authorized to execute the remaining funding from the <br /> CARES ACT funding and amend Federal operating and capital assistance associated with <br /> COVID -19 in the amount of$1,668,433 on behalf of the City of Decatur with the Federal <br /> Transit Administration authorized by 49 U.S.C. Chapter 53, title 23,United States Code, or <br /> other Federal statutes authorizing a project administered by the Federal Transit <br /> Administration. The City of Decatur is making this grant amendment, so that the full <br /> apportionment can be awarded. <br /> 2. That the Mass Transit Administrator is authorized to execute and file with the application the <br /> annual certifications and assurances and other documents the Federal Transit Administration <br /> requires before awarding a Federal assistance grant or cooperative agreement. <br /> 3.
