The City of Decatur was awarded <br /> $6,168,433, and has only applied for $4,500,000. The City of Decatur is <br /> making this grant amendment, so that the full apportionment can be awarded. <br /> The City of Decatur certifies that it, and its contractor, have not furloughed any <br /> employees since March 27, 2020 (the enactment date of the CARES Act.) <br /> Attached to this Amendment is the FY2020 Section 5307 CARES Act <br /> Apportionment. <br /> ORIGINAL GRANT <br /> City of Decatur is applying for FFY 2020 Section 5307 CARES Act funding in <br /> the amount of $4,500,000 from the full apportionment of $6,168,433. The <br /> Section 5307 Urbanized Area Apportionments (Table 2) is attached to this <br /> application. This application requests funding for operating assistance in the <br /> amount of$3,000,000, and capital expenses in the amount $1,500,000. The <br /> funding will be used for transit operations at 100% federal share. Anticipated <br /> short-term activities include COVID-19 emergency response services and <br /> purchases related to the response. Subsequent activities will be focused on <br /> providing transit services that help the community recover from the severe <br /> social and economic impacts of COVID-19, as well as operating assistance to <br />
