Perry, Purchasing Supervisor <br /> SUBJECT: Resolution Accepting the State of Illinois Joint Purchasing Agreement Bid Price of Morrow Brothers Ford <br /> Inc. for the Purchase of 2021 Ford Police Interceptor Utility Vehicles <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends authorizing the following resolutions: <br /> 1. Resolution awarding a contract in the State of Illinois Joint Purchasing Agreement amount of$203,480 to Morrow Brothers <br /> Ford Inc. for four(4)2021 Ford Interceptor Utility Vehicles. <br /> 2. Resolution awarding a contract in the State of Illinois Joint Purchasing Agreement amount of$111,490 to Morrow Brothers <br /> Ford Inc. for two (2)2021 Ford Interceptor Utility Vehicles with High Performance EcoBoost Engine. <br /> The bid amounts include the cost of the vehicles along with the Police Department equipment required for up fitting. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The City of Decatur Police Department has requested six(6)new vehicles to replace three (3) Chevrolet Impalas and three (3) <br /> Ford Interceptor utility vehicles. <br /> The vehicles being replaced are: <br /> Unit 841 a 2015 Ford Interceptor with 104,809 miles. <br /> Unit 842 a 2016 Ford Interceptor with 106,451 miles. <br /> Unit 844 a 2016 Ford Interceptor with 100,542 miles. <br /> Unit 864 a 2008 Chevrolet Impala with 70,829 miles. <br /> Unit 871 a 2006 Chevrolet Impala with 83,885 miles. <br /> Unit 882 a 2007 Chevrolet Impala with 106,632 miles. <br /> As part of the new vehicle purchase,2 will have high perfon-nance EcoBoost engines requested by the Police Department for <br /> occasions that require an improved emergency response. <br /> Computer equipment and body cams will be transferred to the new vehicles from the replaced vehicles. <br /> The replacement vehicles are estimated to be delivered in 90 days. <br /> DISPOSAL OF REPLACED UNITS: The above vehicles are being replaced due to age and condition and will be <br /> sold/auctioned. <br /> OTHER BIDDERS: None. <br />
