RESOLUTION NO. R20211_ RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REAL ESTATE PURCHASE AGREEMENT -DAVID B. BROWN AND ANGELA M. BROWN- -CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS- -3550 EAST CHESTNUT AVENUE, DECATUR, ILLINOIS- WHEREAS, the CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS, an Illinois municipal corporation and body politic("City")is a unit of local government pursuant to Article VII, Section 6 of the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and, WHEREAS,the City desires to replace Fire Station#7 in a better geographic location than the current station; and, WHEREAS,the City finds the property identified and secured by staff is in the best interest of the City to acquire for a future station replacement. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the Option to Purchase attached hereto and marked Exhibit A, between David B. Brown and Angela M. Brown, 3550 E. CHESTNUT AVE., Decatur, Illinois, shall be exercised and notice given as set forth in the Option. Section 2. That the City shall be authorized to purchase 3550 E. CHESTNUT AVE., Decatur, Illinois as per the terms and conditions set forth in the Option to Purchase. Section 3. That upon closing, the Premises shall be vacated no later than thirty (30) days after closing date. Section 4. That the City Manager and City Clerk or designees be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to sign any necessary instruments to acquire this property on behalf of the City.
