COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MEMORANDUM <br /> No.21-19 <br /> May 17, 2021 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe and City Council <br /> FROM: Scot Wrighton,City Manager <br /> Cordaryl"Pat"Patrick,Director of Community Development <br /> Susan Kretsinger,Neighborhood Inspections Manager <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Resolutions Authorizing the Execution of Two (2) Separate Agreements for Demolition of <br /> Vacant Residential Dwellings—One Agreement with Parkland Environmental for 115 North <br /> Illinois and 1617 North Main; and One Agreement with JRH Services for 1004 South Illinois. <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends approval of the two (2) attached resolutions authorizing execution of <br /> agreements for demolition of a combined total of three (3)dwellings. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> With staff's continued efforts on a more aggressive pace of demolitions,in support of <br /> neighborhood revitalization objectives, a batch of 15 dwellings were recently put out to bid. <br /> The remaining twelve structures do not trigger the spending threshold for City Council action <br /> (attached),thus not reflected on either of the 2 resolutions and will be processed by staff <br /> administratively. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: No known objections to this resolution. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Debbie Perry,Purchasing Supervisor; Susan Kretsinger, <br /> Neighborhood Inspections Manager. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Pat Patrick at <br /> cpatrick@decaturil.gov or Susan Kretsinger at 217-450-2347 or skretsinger@decaturil.gov. <br />
