It is expected that the City will be reimbursed up to$10,788(80%)from the Illinois Competitive <br /> Freight Program. The remaining 20%will be paid with State Motor Fuel Tax funds allocated to the City. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> On January 21,2020,the City Council approved Amendment 41 to an agreement with the State of Illinois that allocated Freight <br /> Grant funding for the purchase of right of way for the Brush College/Faries Parkway Grade Separation Project. <br /> The City has reached an agreement with the Norfolk Southern Railway Company for a temporary construction easement on their <br /> right of way just north of Faries Parkway. The proposed expenditure is for a total of$13,485.00 which includes$10,788.00 in <br /> Federal funds from the$25 million grant awarded to the City through the Illinois Competitive Freight Program.
