RESOLUTION NO 2.Oa- - 13 1 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF FOUR PARATRANSIT VEHICLES FROM MIDWEST TRANSIT EQUIPMENT INC. FROM STATE CONTRACT WHEREAS, the City of Decatur has paratransit vehicles which are nearing end of useful life, WHEREAS,the City of Decatur has federal and state grant monies necessary for vehicle replacement and, WHEREAS, the City of Decatur desires to replace four paratransit cutaway vehicles utilizing these funds as an investment into our public transit system; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR,ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the quote of the State contract for Four(4)Ford Coach Paratransit Vehicles included in the attachments be, and it is hereby, received, and place on file. Section 2. That the cost of Four Coach Paratransit vehicles from Midwest Transit Equipment Inc. in an amount not to exceed $267,166.20,be accepted and a purchase order be awarded accordingly. Section 3. That City staff be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute a purchase order between the City of Decatur, Illinois and Midwest Transit Equipment Inc., for their price of$267,166.20 Section 4. That the City Manager be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to affect payment for the acquired equipment with terms and conditions as determined by the City Treasurer and approved by the City Manager, PRESENTED and ADOPTED this 19'h day of July, 2021.
