Excerpts from Plan Commission Meeting of July 8, 2021: <br /> Case No.21-06 Petition of SCANNELL PROPERTIES, LLC, to rezone the <br /> property located at the Southwest corner of Mound Road and Brush College Road from R- <br /> 1 Single Family Residence District to M-1 Light Industrial District. <br /> It was moved and seconded(McDaniel/Clevenger)to forward Case No. 21-06 to the City Council <br /> with a recommendation of approval as set forth in the staff report. <br /> Mrs. Joselyn Stewart was sworn in by Mrs. Janet Poland. <br /> Mrs. Stewart discussed and presented slides of the site and surrounding properties (available for <br /> viewing upon request) along with staff's recommendation for approval of the petition based on <br /> the staff report distributed to the Plan Commission prior to the meeting(staff report is on file and <br /> is available for reviewing by request). <br /> Mr. Troy Shiley, representative for the petitioner, was sworn in by Mrs. Poland. <br /> Mr. Shiley stated the project fits well with the surrounding uses and the fabric of the <br /> neighborhood. <br /> Discussion amongst the Plan Commission members and City staff followed Mrs. Stewart's <br /> presentation including the proposed project of an industrial distribution facility. <br /> There were no objectors present. <br /> Upon call of the roll, Commission members Bill Clevenger, Jason Drake,Pat McDaniel,Andrew <br /> Taylor and Kent Newton voted aye. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
