POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: The video gaming terminal operators. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Illinois Municipal League <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Amy Waks,Assistant Corporation Counsel, at 424-2807. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Staff is still evaluating the budget impacts for 2022 of <br /> implementing a one cent video gaming push tax. The City Council has asked staff in the past for <br /> alternative revenue suggestions that would take the load off traditional General Fund revenue <br /> sources such as the property tax,food and beverage taxes,utility taxes, etc. so that there is less <br /> pressure to increase these taxes in order to provide basic city services. <br />
