MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> DECATUR CITY PLAN COMMISSION <br /> September 2, 2021 <br /> City Council Chamber, Decatur Civic Center <br /> I. Call to Order and Determination of a Quorum <br /> The September 2, 2021 meeting of the Decatur City Plan Commission was called to order at 3:00 <br /> P.M. in the Civic Center Theater, Second Floor of the Decatur Civic Center,by Chairman Susie Peck <br /> who determined a quorum was present. <br /> Members Present: Bruce Frantz, Pat McDaniel. Matt Naber, Kent Newton, Maurice Payne, <br /> Andrew Taylor, Susie Peck <br /> Members Absent: Jason Drake <br /> Staff Present: Greg Crowe, Kylie Reynolds, Joselyn Stewart <br /> II. Approval of Minutes of the August 5,2021 City Plan Commission Meeting <br /> It was moved and seconded(McDaniel/Taylor)to approve the minutes of the August 5, 2021 <br /> meeting of the Decatur City Plan Commission. Motion carried with Kent Newton and Maurice <br /> Payne abstaining. <br /> III. New Business <br /> A. Case No. 21-11 Petition of MILLARD GOODMAN to rezone the south portion of <br /> the property located at 1676 NORTH UNION STREET from R-5 Two Family Residence <br /> District to R-3 Single Family Residence District. <br /> It was moved and seconded(McDaniel/Taylor)to forward Case No. 21-11 to the City Council with <br /> a recommendation of approval as set forth in the staff report. <br /> Mrs. Joselyn Stewart was sworn in by Ms. Kylie Reynolds. <br /> Mrs. Stewart discussed and presented slides of the site and surrounding properties (available for <br /> viewing upon request) along with staff's recommendation for approval of the petition based on the <br /> staff report distributed to the Plan Commission prior to the meeting (staff report is on file and is <br /> available for reviewing by request). <br /> There were no questions and no objectors present. <br /> Upon call of the roll, Commission members Bruce Frantz, Pat McDaniel. Matt Naber, Kent Newton, <br /> Maurice Payne,Andrew Taylor,Chairman Susie Peck voted aye. Chairman Peck declared the motion <br /> carried. <br />
