HALLOWEEN TRICK OR TREAT 1) The activity is to be confined to one evening only, Sunday, October 31, 2021,between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. 2) Children should be accompanied by responsible adults. 3) Only wrapped and sealed treats should be given or accepted. 4) Children are asked not to consume treats during the trick or treat period and that all treats be inspected by a responsible adult prior to consumption. 5) Calls should be made only at residences where porch or other exterior lights have been turned on as a sign of hospitality. 6) Costumes when worn should be highly visible, of nonflammable material so constructed as not to interfere with the vision or mobility of the wearer. i 7) Basic pedestrian safety rules should be obeyed. CURRENT COVID-19 IMPACTS ON HALLOWEEN 1. All individuals participating in trick-or-treating, including those passing out candy should maintain social distance of least 6 feet and wear proper face coverings. A costume mask, such as those worn for Halloween, is not a substitute for a face covering. If face coverings are worn under costume masks,please ensure this does not create breathing problems, and if so, discard the costume mask. 2. Only household members should trick-or-treat together, and they should maintain 6-feet social distance from other trick-or-treaters at all times. Mixed household trick-or-treaters are discouraged. 3. Candy collected during trick-or-treating should not be consumed until after handwashing. Alcohol-based hand sanitizer should be carried and used frequently. 4. Outdoor areas are preferred for trick-or-treating. Enclosed indoor areas, like apartment buildings,present greater risk of transmission. Open doors and windows as appropriate to promote increased ventilation.
