RESOLUTION NO. R2021 -232
<br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF DECATUR TO PROVIDE AN
<br /> INTERFUND CASH ADVANCE TO CERTAIN FUNDS TO AFFECT A
<br /> POSITIVE CASH POSITION AS OF THE CLOSE OF BUSINESS AS OF
<br /> DECEMBER 31,2021
<br /> WHEREAS, Funds of the City must have monies in an amount to affect a positive cash
<br /> position at the close of business as of December 31, 2021, for the purpose of defraying incurred
<br /> expenditures during the fiscal period; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, certain city funds may be in a position due to unforeseen circumstances to
<br /> not have a positive cash position as of December 31, 2021, it is necessary for the City of Decatur
<br /> to provide an interfund cash advance to these certain funds.
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR,
<br /> ILLINOIS:
<br /> Section 1. That an Interfund Cash Advance in the amount of$50,000 to affect a positive
<br /> cash position at the close of business as of December 31, 2021, to the Community Grant Fund of
<br /> the City of Decatur, Illinois,be, and the same is hereby,received,placed on file, and approved.
<br /> Section 2. That an Interfund Cash Advance in the amount of$50,000 to affect a positive
<br /> cash position at the close of business as of December 31, 2021, to the CDBG Fund of the City of
<br /> Decatur, Illinois,be, and the same is hereby, received, placed on file, and approved.
<br /> Section 3. That an Interfund Cash Advance in the amount of $3,000,000 to affect a
<br /> positive cash position at the close of business as of December 31, 2021, to the Public Transit
<br /> Fund of the City of Decatur, Illinois, be, and the same is hereby, received, placed on file, and
<br /> approved.
<br /> Section 4. That the City Treasurer is hereby, authorized and directed to affect said
<br /> interfund cash advances, as necessary, to affect a positive cash position as of December 31,
<br /> 2021, to the Community Grant Fund, the CDBG Fund, the Public Mass Transit Fund, on behalf
<br /> of the City of Decatur, Illinois.
<br /> Section 5. That the City Treasurer is hereby, authorized and directed to affect said
<br /> interfand cash advances, as necessary, to affect a positive cash position as of December 31,
<br /> 2021, to any city funds, on behalf of the City of Decatur, Illinois.
<br /> Section 6. That the City Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to repay in full the
<br /> Interfund Cash Advance amounts transferred herein to the City of Decatur Funds at the
<br /> beginning of the 2022 fiscal year, or at such time that the Funds have sufficient monies to repay
<br /> the interfund cash advance to the City of Decatur.
