C I a r 1<,,,D, ie t z <br /> n <br /> &Rllihilillc�ai�r �7iiilli 6th".. <br /> December 13,2021 <br /> Mr. Matthew Newell <br /> Public Works Director <br /> 1 Gary K Anderson Plaza <br /> Decatur, IL 62523 <br /> Re: Time and Scope Extension <br /> Various Engineering Services <br /> Decatur Project No. 2020-13 <br /> Clark Dietz Project No. D0090100 <br /> Dear Mr. Newell: <br /> We understand that the City would like to extend our Various Engineering Services project beyond its original <br /> number of estimated hours.We have appreciated and enjoyed working with the City on these various engineering <br /> services to date and appreciate the opportunity to continue working with you. <br /> The scope as we understand it includes various as-needed items such as: <br /> • Assisting staff with stormwater issues and sanitary service issues. <br /> • Helping with SWPP inspections on an as needed basis. <br /> • Preparing AutoCAD& Drafting standards. <br /> • Developing capital improvement projects similar to the multiple capital projects already completed. <br /> • Assessing the condition of existing sanitary sewers and identifying critical failure areas. <br /> • Analyzing the source and strength of odors in the collection system. <br /> • Additional staff will be required to assume the Land Development duties, program management,and <br /> continue Site Plan Reviews for the City. <br /> • Additional staff may be required to help assist with traffic design and analysis on an as-needed basis to <br /> supplement on-going and upcoming staffing shortages <br /> In addition to these tasks,we understand that the City may be interested in other design tasks as they may arise. <br /> The fee estimate for these scope items is attached,as are our direct labor rates,the City's Change Order form,and <br /> the City's timeline form for this additional work. <br /> We plan to continue utilizing the staff and project management as we currently have working with you,as well as <br /> bringing on staff as needed to meet your needs.We are confident that our team will be able to provide cost- <br /> effective, high-quality services for the City.
