ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MEMORANDUM <br /> No. 22-1 <br /> January 3, 2022 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe and City Council <br /> FROM: Scot Wrighton, City Manager <br /> Cordaryl "Pat" Patrick, Director of Economic & Community <br /> Development <br /> Susan Kretsinger, Neighborhood Inspections Manager <br /> SUBJECT: Resolution Authorizing the Execution of Agreements for Demolition <br /> of vacant building with Hutchins Excavating for 826 E. Main. <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the <br /> attached resolution authorizing execution of agreements for demolition of said <br /> dwellings. <br /> BACKGROUND: The buildings at 826 E. Main, 1087 E. North, 1125 N. Monroe, <br /> 2509 E. Prairie and 1204 E. Walnut were put out to bid, along with five other <br /> properties. This is one of five (5) properties that crossed the threshold for council <br /> approval. The other five properties are: 965 E. Cleveland, Clancy Coleman <br /> Excavating ($18,690); 936 E. Garfield, Hutchins Excavating ($6,000); 1049 W. <br /> Green, Hutchins Excavating ($6,500); 1305 E. Leafland, Parkland Environmental <br /> ($15,800); and 1402 E. Wood, Parkland Environmental ($13,500). <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: No known objections to this resolution. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Jessica Taylor, Purchasing Supervisor; <br /> Susan Kretsinger, Neighborhood Inspections Manager. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: None <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Cordaryl <br /> "Pat" Patrick or Susan Kretsinger at 217-450-2347 or skretsingerA..decaturil.gov. <br />
