Marietta St. with Steve's Trucking <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the <br /> attached resolution authorizing execution of agreement for demolition of said <br /> dwelling. <br /> BACKGROUND: The building at 139 E. Marietta suffered from significant fire <br /> damage that resulted in the closing of Marietta St. Due to the severity of the <br /> damage, and the cooperation of the owner, bids were taken to have the building <br /> immediately demolished. Three bids were received with Steve's Trucking <br /> providing the lowest bid ($58,000). Other bids were received from Hutchins <br /> Excavating ($70,000) and Clancy Coleman ($95,000). <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: No known objections to this resolution. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Susan Kretsinger, Neighborhood <br /> Inspections Manager. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: None <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Cordaryl <br /> "Pat" Patrick or Susan Kretsinger at 217-450-2347 or skretsinger(a decaturil.gov. <br />
