City Clerk
DATE: 4/13/2022
MEMO:
TO: Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe
City Council Members
FROM: Scot Wrighton,City Manager
SUBJECT: Ordinance Amending City Code Chapter 66 Regulation of Lake Decatur
SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council determine the extent to which they want to
adjust boat and dock fees for the upcoming season.
BACKGROUND:
On April 4,2022,the City Council discussed a proposed amendment that would have reduced an automatic increase in boat and
dock fees from 8%to 2.5%for the 2022 season only. The motion failed to pass with four(4)affirmative votes as required by
ordinance. The council vote was 3-yes,2-abstaining, 1-no and 1-absent.
In accordance with City Council policy for placing items on the agenda outside the normal process for agenda development and
setting, four members of the City Council have indicated to the city manager their desire to consider this replacement item for the
motion that died on April 4 because it lacked four affirmative votes. This is not a reconsideration;so no motion to reconsider(or
remove from the table)will be required prior to council action to approve or disapprove this ordinance amendment.
ATTACHMENTS:
Description Type
Ordinance Cover Memo
