RESOLUTION NO. 3• �JcI <br /> RESOLUTION TO APPROPRIATE MOTOR FUEL TAX FUNDS <br /> FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL MAINTENANCE AND STREET MAINTENANCE <br /> BY MUNICIPALITY UNDER THE ILLINOIS HIGHWAY CODE <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of$950,000.00 of Motor Fuel Tax funds <br /> for the purpose of traffic signal maintenance, the purchase of concrete for street maintenance, the <br /> purchase of road salt, striping of City streets,the purchase of asphalt for street maintenance, and <br /> traffic signal cabinet maintenance for the City of Decatur, Illinois, from January 1,2022 to December <br /> 31, 2022. <br /> Section 2. That traffic signal maintenance, the purchase of concrete for street maintenance, <br /> the purchase of road salt, striping of City roads,the purchase of asphalt for street maintenance, traffic <br /> signal cabinet maintenance and operations as listed and described on the Municipal Estimate of <br /> Maintenance Costs, including supplemental or revised estimates approved in connection with this <br /> resolution, are eligible for maintenance with Motor Fuel Tax funds during the period as specified <br /> above. <br /> Section 3. That the Clerk shall, as soon as three (3)months after the close of the period as <br /> given above, submit to the Department of Transportation on forms furnished by said Department, a <br /> certified statement showing expenditures from and balances remaining in the account(s) for this <br /> period; and <br /> Section 4.
