OFFICE OF THE CITY MANAGER <br /> DATE: July 18, 2022 <br /> TO: Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe and City Council Members <br /> FROM: Scott Wrighton, City Manager <br /> Jon Kindseth, Deputy City Manager <br /> Lacie Elzy, Transit Administrator <br /> s. <br /> SUBJECT: Resolution Authorizing Execution of a Purchase Order between the City of <br /> Decatur, Illinois and Morrow Brothers Ford INC. for One Ford F-350 Super Duty Work <br /> Truck to be purchased with State and Federal grant funding in an amount not to exceed <br /> $67,550.00,utilizing State of Illinois Truck Contract 21-416CMS-P-29479 <br /> RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended by staff that this item be approved. <br /> BACKGROUND: Decatur Public Transit has a 2007 F-350 work truck that is beyond its <br /> useful life. The work truck is essential to the ongoing maintenance and daily functions of <br /> transit operations. This service truck allows our transit staff to make necessary repairs <br /> and perform essential maintenance duties to transit assets throughout the City of Decatur. <br /> The current work truck has become inefficient, due to age and is costly to maintain.
