SQHDAY FMIY
of
.., FUMN
f
August 11,2022
Memo To: Mayor Julie Moore-Wolf&City County Council
From: Teri Hammel
Decatur Area CVB
We are very excited to be hosting an event in Central Park on September 111",2022,from 8 am to 8 pm.
We are partnering with Any Owens who is hosting a car show with the organization she represents,
History of The Heartland. Her event is from 8 am to 3 pm.
Sunday Funday of Freedom was created by Jim Ashby and me. The event will begin at noon with food
trucks, beer, and soft drinks. Live music will be available and there is a Bags contest as part of the draw
to help raise money for a local charity. We are hoping to have art and craft vendors as well as an area
for kids.
This is our first one and we hope to make it an annual event. The charity that I chose for this year will be
the Veterans& Friends. Such a great group of man and women who are still active in the community
and who we owe so much to for all their service.
First responders are being recognized as well.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Teri Hammel
217-423-7000
teri@decaturcvb.com
