December 1,2022 <br /> TO: Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe& Decatur City Council Members <br /> FROM: Scot Wrighton, City Manager <br /> RE: Library Collective Bargaining Agreement Amendments <br /> The Library Board of Trustees has negotiated revisions to their agreement with AFSCME Local <br /> 268 (the same local with which the city bargains).The revisions have been approved by a union <br /> vote and by a vote of the Decatur Library Board of Trustees. <br /> Although they operate autonomously from city government,the Decatur Public Library is still a <br /> "city" library and connected to the city for purposes of property tax extensions and <br /> appointment of their board members. For this reason,the city needs to officially concur with <br /> the amended labor agreement. <br />
