Kyle Lance Risby
The Tjaty Group,LLC
On behalf of The Tjaty Group,LLC
158 W. Prairie-Suite 107
Decatur,IL 62523
December 4th,2022
Mr. Wrighton
City Manager
City of Decatur
I Gary K. Anderson Plaza
Decatur,IL 62523
The Tjaty Group would like to thank the City of Decatur, Mayor, and City Manager for awarding
Resolution No:R2022-90 to our organization. We feel strongly that there is an intense need for
the training we provide. To fulfill the requirement associated with the resolution, the Tjaty Group
conducted collaborated with the following local organizations over the summer to take their
youth and staff through our Leadership Development training:
1.) Shemilah Outreach Center
2.) Old King's Orchard All together 75 Youth and 13 Adults
3.) Sister, Girl&Friends participated in the workshops during the
4.) Boys&Girls Club Summer and Fall.
5.) One of the most suggested improvements was to have more adults participate,so they
could take the information back into their organizations. Our hope is to work with these same
community groups to develop a process to measure the effectiveness of the training.
Another enhancement suggestion was to incorporate a Rites of Passage component for males, of
which we are developing; the Tjaty Group is working with the DPS61 and the Decatur Police
Department to develop a mentorship program for those youth who may need direction.
Where the Tjaty Group needs help is in employment alignment. Our organization and the others
would love to share with the youth and their guardians that internships and long-term
employment opportunities are available and worthwhile to obtain.Providing the same or similar
training to decision makers at our local employers would help develop in making this
