PART C. PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT <br /> Explain why the amendment is being requested. <br /> Lewis Property Development& Rentals LLC is owned and managed by Mr. Steven Lewis <br /> and is currently located at 1355 St.Hwy. 121. Mr. Lewis is the current owner of parcels 12- <br /> 17-04-232-001, 12-17-04-232-002, 12-17-04-232-003, 12-17-04-232-004 & 12-17-04-232-005 <br /> totaling 3.8 acres in Macon County along IL-121 and is proposing their development into a <br /> multi enterprise store front commercial building and requesting an extension of the <br /> Decatur-Macon County Enterprise Zone to accommodate this project. <br /> Mr.Lewis is estimating a construction capital expenditure of more than three million <br /> dollars towards the development of this project which will result in the full-time <br /> employment of approximately seventeen skilled trades persons during the construction <br /> phase of this project according to BEA RIMS 11 Multipliers (2012/2020).Additionally,it is <br /> projected that this project will potentially enable the employment of up to 50 full-time <br /> retail and service industry individuals indefinitely.Finally,this type of employment <br /> supports 11.6 jobs per community wide for everyone million dollars in revenue generated <br /> annually. <br /> The continued growth of commercial, service and retail opportunities in our community is <br /> central to its economic and social prosperity and fits within the stated goals of the Decatur- <br /> Macon County Enterprise Zone. <br /> BOI-2 <br /> PART D.ELIGIBILITY CRITERION <br /> 1, Describe and document the specific development commitment(s) that will occur within the <br /> two year period following the proposed boundary change. Such information must include: <br /> 1) project scope; 30,800 sq.ft. retail building <br /> 2) estimated cost of the project; $3,000,000 <br /> 3) timeline for completing project milestones; <br /> 4) project start and completion dates; Start Spring 2023/Fall-Winter 2023 <br /> 5) construction plans or schematics; construction permit data; and, <br /> 6) evidence of financial commitment from financial institutions anal/or local, state or federal <br /> government.
