Pruitt Co. for the Replacement of HVAC and Controls System for Transit <br /> Services <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends City Council approve this Resolution and accept the bid from E.L. <br /> Pruitt Co. for HVAC and controls replacement for transit facilities. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The Department of Transportation and Facilities has Illinois Rebuild Round I funding to <br /> replace the HVAC system at the transit facilities. The HVAC and controls system have <br /> been in disrepair and are not efficient. The grant funds will cover the replacement of <br /> HVAC and controls system at all three transit buildings: transfer center, administration <br /> building, and bus storage barn. <br /> Due to the size of this project, the City put out an invitation for bid(IFB) for this project. <br /> Three local contractors responded to the IFB. Staff recommends E.L. Pruitt Co. be <br /> awarded the project as the lowest responsible bidder. The bid sheet is included as an <br /> attachment.
