(B) In order to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public as a result of storm <br /> water induced inflow and infiltration into the City's sanitary sewer system and for the <br /> public benefit, the Public Works Director is authorized to provide and require building <br /> sewer or drainage system improvements to reduce storm water induced inflow and <br /> infiltration into the public sanitary sewer system. <br /> The owner of any structure wherein the building sewer or a drainage system <br /> residing within an area that has been determined by the Public Works Director to be a high <br /> storm water induced inflow and infiltration area may be directed to allow the needed repairs <br /> or improvements to the sewer or drain. Owners refusing to allow needed repairs when <br /> required by the Public Works Director will incur an additional monthly user fee, outlined <br /> in Section 10 (G), to partially recover damages caused to the sewer system improvement <br /> by the refusal to participate. <br /> Section 2. That the City Clerk be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to cause the <br /> provisions hereof to be appropriately set out in the City Code and to cause the same to be published <br /> in pamphlet form according to law. <br /> PRESENTED, and ADOPTED this 20th day of March 2023. <br /> LIE MOLt�*LFE.
