The ci1y proposes that the consultant develop detailed plans andspecifications for future building remodelin intended to relocate most direct-facing customer service operations to the first floor,install security barriers doors and other safety enhancements,and provide larger and modern meetingroom oom spaces on the second floor. • The consultant will conduct a space analysis to determine where and how certain city offices can be moved or relocated to make better and more efficient use of the city's office space at the Civic Center. • The consultant will develop construction-ready plans and specifications based on meetings with the city and the Civic Center Authority,to make recommendations for a)better space utilization b)security enhancements to increase employee safety,and c)a multi-year plan for improving security and increasing public utilization of the Civic Center. • The consultant is to provide,or recommend to the city,a building security assessment These services will be provided under a full-service agreement that will include the development of construction documents,bidding assistance,construction administration and project closeout services Following is a detailed list of professional services that are being included under this proposal: • Design Services,including o Building Code Analysis o Architectural Design and associated interiors o Mechanical Design o Illinois Energy Compliance(COMCheck) • Construction Documents,including_ Specifications • Bidding Assistance • Local Agency Review and Permitting Assistance • Construction phase services,including o Progress meetings/site visits Inst.
