GARBAGE SERVICE SPECIFICATIONS <br /> Service must be provided by licensed garbage haulers only. <br /> DURATION OF CONTRACT <br /> The City intends to award a two-year contract to the successful bidder to provide garbage service <br /> for the City of Decatur facilities beginning from present to October 14,2024. <br /> FREQUENCY/HOURS OF COLLECTION <br /> Collection shall not start before 7:00 am.or continue after 5:00 p.m.on the same day. Exceptions <br /> to collection hours shall occur only by prior permission of the City. Vendor shall contact the <br /> contact person(s) listed for the location requiring the collection exception. Collection shall be <br /> made at the frequency listed for each City of Decatur location. Yard Waste collection shall be <br /> during the season beginning on or about May l and continuing through October 31, weather <br /> permitting. Vendor shall contact the appropriate City employee(s) should any receptacle be <br /> inaccessible on collection day. City employees shall make receptacle accessible,and collection <br /> will occur on next scheduled collection day. Vendor will supply City with schedule for all location <br /> pick up times/dates as listed below. <br /> HOLIDAYS <br /> When a Holiday falls on the day that collection will normally be made,each subsequent collection <br /> day will be delayed on day. It shall be the vendor's responsibility to inform the City in a timely <br /> manner of any change in the collection schedule as a result of a Holiday.
