Dunbar,Asst. Dir. Economic & Community Dev. <br /> SUBJECT: Supportive Services agreement with Dove, Inc. funded from HOME ARP <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the attached sub recipient <br /> agreement with Dove, Inc. The recommended allocation is $250,000 which is from the <br /> HOME ARP funds as provided by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. <br /> This agreement expires April 30, 2025. The supportive services activities include but are <br /> not limited to: case management,program implementation,transportation, supplies and <br /> indirect costs. <br /> BACKGROUND: The City of Decatur received $1,497,384 HOME ARP funds for <br /> development and support of affordable housing for the homeless population. As part of <br /> our revitalization efforts, the City of Decatur purchased a vacant building within the <br /> Johns Hill area. This building is a former nursing home and is perfect for housing <br /> residents. It is also located two blocks from the Homeward Bound office which assists <br /> our homeless population. <br /> Dove, Inc., has an extensive history of assisting Decatur residents. The City of Decatur <br /> has an existing agreement with Dove, Inc. to provide rent,mortgage, and utility <br /> assistance to eligible residents to Covid affected residents. <br /> A copy of the agreement is attached. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: Staff are not aware of objections. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Meetings from the Continuum of Care partners <br /> along with public meetings from a variety of community organizations. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Additional questions can be forwarded to Richelle L.
