PROMULGATED RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR SHORT-TERM RESIDENTIAL UNITS <br /> (City Code-Chapter 51.5--Effective May 1,2023) <br /> In accordance with the responsibilities and authority delegated to the City Manager of the City of <br /> Decatur by Chapter 51.5 of the City Code to make and enforce rules and regulations relating to short- <br /> term residential units,the following rules and regulations are hereby promulgated,effective as follows: <br /> Rule#1: <br /> Licensed short-term residential units,and the operations therein and thereof,shall comply with the <br /> provisions of Chapter 51.5,AND with all provisions of other laws,ordinances,codes, rules,or <br /> regulations,currently in force,or which may be enacted in the future concerning short-term rentals, <br /> including these administrative rules. <br /> Rule#2: <br /> Short-term residential unit license holders must maintain active refuse and recyclables removal service <br /> and provide appropriate containers for refuse and recyclables;and all refuse and recyclables shall be <br /> deposited,and remain, in refuse and recycling containers provided for this purpose. <br /> Rule#3: <br /> Trash and debris not properly stored shall be prohibited. <br /> Rule#4: <br /> Littering on short-term residential properties, adjoining private properties and adjoining public <br /> properties shall be prohibited. <br /> Rule#5 <br /> All parking shall be on impervious and improved surfaces in compliance with City Code. <br /> Rule#6 <br /> Loud noise and sounds audible to any other premises or residence shall be prohibited. <br /> Rule#7: <br /> Short-term residential occupants shall not trespass upon the land of another. <br /> Rule#8: <br /> Violations of the Promulgated Rules or any provisions of Federal,State,or City laws may result in <br /> revocation of the license,and/or other fines and penalties as provided by ordinance. <br />
