The project was broken into three constructible segments. Segment
Three included an overpass over Faries Parkway and NSRR at the intersection of Faries Parkway. Funding
for this third segment was obtained to complete final design and construction. Railroad coordination, utility
conflicts, two changes to the letting date, and an extended schedule led to additional scope of service items,
which are further described below.
Railroad Coordination and Updates
Roadway Design
Develop horizontal and vertical geometry for the design of the Illinois Central Railroad(ICRR)Maintenance
Road for the July 2021 letting. Revise horizontal and vertical geometry for the design of the ICRR
Maintenance Road,to accommodate the placement of the proposed Ameren l OD pole, for the January 2022
letting.
Prepare RoadwayPlans
I) Prepare Existing Typical Section for ICRR Maintenance Road reconstruction design.
2) Prepare Proposed Typical Section for ICRR Maintenance Road reconstruction design.
