You will also see on the map the measures WB Classic is taking to manage parking. We have
directed overflow parking to Sportsman Park in previous years and would like to make that safer
as well. Instead of walking down a very busy Lost Bridge Road, the road closure will make that
much safer route. We also try to avoid having cars parked alongside the neighborhood streets
to avoid congestion for the neighbors and limit any littering or other inconveniences to the
neighbors. Every year we deliver letters to the neighborhood informing them of our dates and
invite them to come see what we are all about. I'm sure some of you have received complaints
in the past during our events, but we try to be as accommodating as we can be to the
neighborhoods that surround our event. Without their support none of this would happen, so we
are gracious that they have allowed us to grow.
We have grown the tournament to its max capacity. We have reached our maximum number of
teams that we can possibly fit into our current format so there will be no more days or times
added to the event. We do not sell or serve alcohol, nor will we ever. We carry all necessary
permits and licenses that we need to fulfill our obligations when it comes to raffles and food
sales. We are inspected by the health department prior to the tournament to ensure all proper
food safety measures are in place and utilize local businesses, such as the FourNine and
Sliderz, to ensure there is always someone around with the proper food handlers licensing
needed as well.
Our organization and its members have all pledged their time and money into giving back to our
community and raising awareness for this awful disease. We know the sacrifices the neighbors
are already making to allow us the opportunity to fulfill our mission and don't want to make
things any worse for them. However, the safety of those same neighbors and our patrons is our
highest concern going into this year's event. Please consider our proposal; and we appreciate
your support.
Representatives from WB Classic, Inc. will be in attendance at the City Council's June 201h
meeting to answer any questions there may be.
Warm Regards,
18 elZrtadrL
Rusty Johanson
Treasurer
217 WB Classic, Inc.
www.217wbclassic.org-217wbc[assic@gmail.com
