Resolution Rescinding Resolution No. 82023-64 accepting the Sourcewell quote of Sloan's Implement Co. Inc. for One(1) <br /> John Deere 6135E Cab Tractor for the sum of$77,428.32 (this included$93,928.32 for the unit and subtracted$16,500 to buy <br /> back the old unit). <br /> 2. Resolution accepting the bid and authorizing the execution of a contract with Sloan's Implement Co. Inc for the Purchase of <br /> One(1)John Deere 6135E Cab Tractor,bid in the amount of$89,990.00. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> On April 3,2023,the City council approved Resolution No.R2023-64 accepting the Sloan's Implement Sourcewell Contract <br /> #110719-JDC for One(1)John Deere 6135E Cab Tractor. When establishing the purchase order for this tractor, Sloan's <br /> determined that the vendor needed to be listed as Deere&Company to receive the Sourcewell discount. This required that the old <br /> resolution be rescinded and a new resolution approved. <br /> After discussions with Sloan and Public Works staff,it was recommended that rebidding the unit and not including the buy back of <br /> the old unit may yield a better outcome than using Sourcewell. The City Purchasing Division advertised bids which were opened <br /> on June 7,2023. The bid tabulation is attached as part of the resolution. Sloan Implement Company Inc.provided the sole bid of <br /> $89,990.00,which is$3,938.32 less than the original Sourcewell bid approved on April 3. <br /> The old unit will be sold. <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: Resolution No. R2023-64 passed on April 3, 2023 <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Newell,Public Works Director,Byron Bowman,Municipal Services Manager.
