Municipal Services <br /> DATE: 7/27/2023 <br /> MEMO: 2023-72 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Pro-Tem Lisa Gregory and City Council Members <br /> FROM: Scot Wrighton, City Manager <br /> Matt Newell, Public Works Director <br /> Byron Bowman,Municipal Services Manager <br /> Chris Bergschneider, Fleet Supervisor <br /> SUBJECT: Resolution Accepting Custom Truck One Source for the Sourcewell Contract Purchase of One(1)2024 <br /> Freightliner Bucket Truck. <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding a Sourcewell contract in the amount of$200,309.00 to <br /> Custom Truck One Source to furnish one(1)2024 Freightliner Bucket Truck. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The Public Works,Forestry Division has requested a new Bucket Truck with a wood chip box to replace the existing forestry <br /> Bucket Truck used for tree removal and trimming operations. <br /> The unit being traded in is unit 423,a 2007 International 7400 Bucket Truck. It is selected to trade-in due to its age and <br /> condition. Unit 423 has 11,610 hours. <br /> The replacement vehicle is estimated to be delivered in 25-30 weeks. <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> This unit was proposed and approved by the City Council in the 2023 budget. <br /> DISPOSAL OF REPLACED UNIT: The old unit is to be sold or auctioned. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: There are no known objections. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: <br /> Fleet Maintenance wrote the bid specifications based on Forestry requirements. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Newell,Public Works Director,Chris Bergschneider,Fleet Supervisor. <br /> Matt Newell will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer any questions of the Council on this item <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: <br /> Funding for the expenditure is provided in the FY2023 Budget. <br /> LEGAL REVIEW: There are no contracts for Legal to review <br /> ATTACHMENTS: <br /> Description Type <br /> Resolution AcceptinCustom Truck One Source for the <br /> Sourcewell Contracturchase of One(1)2024 Resolution Letter <br /> Freightliner Bucket Truck. <br />
