Vendor shall restore all land including sidewalks and road pavement disturbed <br /> during the installation of the buried fiber raceway and ground boxes. Property <br /> will be back filled,tamped in to reduce settling, ground worked and leveled, grass <br /> seed spread, and then covered by straw. <br /> 3. Installation <br /> The vendor shall install all system components and appurtenances in accordance with <br /> manufacturer's instructions, IEEE C2, and NFPA 70. Provide all necessary <br /> interconnection terminations, splices, services, and adjustments required for a complete <br /> and operable outside fiber optic cable system. <br /> a. Cable Pulling <br /> The vendor shall obtain from the manufacturer and provide to the City the <br /> maximum allowable pulling tension. This tension shall not be exceeded. <br /> b. Cable Splicing <br /> Fiber optic splicing shall be in accordance with manufacturer's specification and <br /> shall exhibit an insertion loss not greater than 0.2 dB for fusion splices and not <br /> greater than 0.4 dB for mechanical splices. <br /> c. Permits <br /> Permits for Railroad, State Highway crossings, Utilities and Boring/Excavations <br /> are the responsibility of the contractor. There will be no additional permit <br /> requirement from the City for excavation; this is covered in Chapter 37 of the City <br /> Code. <br /> 4. Testing and Performance <br /> a. Testing and Performance Verification <br /> Testing personnel shall demonstrate to City personnel that the provided system is <br /> functioning as required in this document. The Installer will document the test <br /> results and submit a formal report to the City for review. The Installer will also <br /> document a list of required system repairs when system issues were encountered, <br /> corrected, and retested. Retests will also be witnessed by the City personnel. <br /> b. Factory Testing <br /> All fiber optic cable strands shall be factory tested prior to shipping to the job site, <br /> using an Optical Time Domain Reflectometer(OTDR), in accordance with <br /> TIA/EIA 568-B.1, TIA/EIA 568-13.3, and TIA 526-7. Calibrate the OTDR to <br />
