ORDINANCE NO. 2023— (r d- ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2022 BUDGET RECONCILIATION ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DECATUR,ILLINOIS WHEREAS,on December 6,2021,City Council adopted the Fiscal Year 2022 Budget and Appropriation Ordinance for the purpose of defraying the expenses of several departments and funds of the City of Decatur for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2022; and, WHEREAS, on December 19, 2022 the City Council adopted a budget reconciliation ordinance further amending the Fiscal Year 2022 Budget; and, WHEREAS, on June 20, 2023 the City Council amended the Fiscal Year 2022 Budget to close-out and finalize the reconciliation of the fiscal year that ended December 31, 2022. WHEREAS, it is now necessary to further amend the 2022 budget to allocate the $10 million for revenue replacement funds from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) for public safety salaries, namely fire and police salaries, in the first two quarters of the fiscal year which ended December 31, 2022; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS,AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The following amounts are hereby appropriated for the Fiscal Year ending December 31, 2022, and set apart within the following designated funds for expenditures, and the December 2022 Budget Reconciliation Ordinance is accordingly amended as follows: Fund $Amount General Fund 10,000,000 American Rescue Plan(#99) (10,000,000) Total 0 SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full-force and effect after its passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
