RESOLUTION NO. - " 414 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING GRANT FROM THE ILLINOIS HOUSING <br /> DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY'S STRONG COMMUNITIES PROGRAM ROUND 2 <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Decatur(the"Recipient")has been awarded a grant(the <br /> "Grant") from the Illinois Housing Development Authority(the "Authority")program <br /> administrator of the Strong Communities Program(the "Program"), as that Program is <br /> authorized by Article 30, Section 5 of Public Act 101-0638 (the "Act"), and governed by the <br /> Program guidelines described in the term sheet, as may be amended from time to time. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Decatur as <br /> follows: <br /> SECTION 1: That the Recipient shall enter into the Funding Agreement (the <br /> "Agreement") with the Authority wherein the Authority agrees to make the Grant to the <br /> Recipient in an amount not to exceed Three hundred Thirty Seven thousand 00/100 Dollars <br /> ($337,000.00), which shall be used by the Recipient to preserve affordable housing efforts by <br /> assisting with the rehabilitation and/or demolition of abandoned properties within the Recipient's <br /> area, all in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the Agreement. <br /> SECTION 2. That the Mayor of the Recipient, the Director of Economic and <br /> Community Development, Assistant Director of Economic and Community Development and/or <br /> the City Clerk/Assistant Clerk of the Recipient (the "Signatories") are hereby authorized and <br /> empowered to execute and deliver in the name of or on behalf of the Recipient the Agreement <br /> and any and all amendments, modifications and supplements thereto, and to execute and deliver <br /> such additional documents, instruments and certificates, as may be necessary or desirable for the <br /> Recipient to perform its obligations under the Agreement. <br /> SECTION 3. That the Signatories are hereby are authorized and directed to take such <br /> additional actions, to make further determinations, to pay such costs and to execute and deliver <br /> such additional instruments (including any amendments, Agreements, or supplements) as he or <br /> she deems necessary or appropriate to carry into effect the foregoing resolutions. <br /> SECTION 4.
