Container: Container, or cart or toter, for purposes of this Chanter, shall mean a water- <br /> tight, heavy-duty plastic receptacle with a rated capacity of sixty-four (64) or ninety-six (96) <br /> gallons, having a hip eg d, tight-fitting lid and two (2) wheels and suited for mechanized <br /> collection. <br /> Expanded Basic Residential Service: Extra carts and containers beyond what is provided <br /> in Basic Removal Service and for which an extra fee is charged as set by the rate appendix, <br /> under rules detailed in the Promulgated Rules. <br /> Garbage: Refuse resulting from the handling, processing, preparation, cooking and <br /> consumption of food or food products. <br /> Hardship Customer: A customer who is physically unable to place refuse and recycling <br /> containers at the curb and has no family member or other person living in the residence able to <br /> place the refuse and recycling_containers at the curb. Medical verification shall be provided to <br /> the hauler prior to the hauler being required to provide such hardship service <br /> Landscape waste: All accumulations of grass or shrubbery cuttings, leaves, tree limbs <br /> and other materials accumulated on the customer's residence as the result of the care of lawns, <br /> shrubbery,vines and trees. <br /> Large item pick-up: Customers will be permitted five (5) separate large item pick-ups <br /> annually. Each of these pick-Lips may include removal of one household appliance such as a <br /> refrigerator, oven or dishwasher and not more than four 4 five (5) other items, none of which <br /> are able to be placed in an approved container, and all of which items must be placed at the curb <br /> by the customer. If no household appliance is placed for removal each large item tem pick-up shall <br /> have no more than five (5) items. A twenty dollar ($20.00) surcharge will be assessed for any <br /> pickup of an appliance with refrigerant. Large item pick-ups exceeding this five (5) item <br />
