RESOLUTION NO. R' O O S <br /> RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION R2020-183 AND <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT FOR <br /> MANAGEMENT AND OPERATION OF CITY OF DECATUR PUBLIC <br /> TRANSIT SERVICES WITH MV TRANSPORTATION, INC <br /> WHEREAS,the CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS, an Illinois municipal corporation and <br /> body politic ("City") is a unit of local government pursuant to Article VII, Section 6 of the <br /> Illinois Constitution of 1970; and, <br /> WHEREAS,the City desires a turn-key management and operation solution for mass <br /> transit operations; and, <br /> WHEREAS,the City finds that this agreement MV Transportation,INC.,provides for <br /> this goal,as well as provides flexibility of service options for the City. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Decatur as <br /> follows: <br /> Section 1. That Resolution R2020-183 authorizing this same action is hereby repealed. <br /> Section 2. The agreement for management and operation of Decatur Public Transit <br /> Services with MV Transportation, Inc. as attached,and the same is hereby, received, placed on <br /> file, and approved. <br /> Section 3. That the Mayor and City Clerk, or their designee be, and they are hereby, <br /> authorized and directed to execute the Management and Operation Agreement between the City <br /> of Decatur, Illinois and MV Transportation,Inc. <br /> PRESENTED AND ADOPTED this 19"day of January 2021. <br /> '?JE OR.
