(C) The Fire Chief shall designate the type of key lock box system to be <br /> implemented and shall have the authority to require all structures to use the designated <br /> system. <br /> (D) The owner or operator of any structure subject hereto shall, at all times, keep <br /> a key in the lock box that will permit access to the structure. <br /> (E) The owner or operator of any structure subject hereto shall notify the Fire <br /> Department of any changes to the key lock box system. <br /> (F) The Fire Chief shall be authorized to implement rules and regulations <br /> governing the use of any key lock box system. <br /> 606.1. add: All commercial kitchen exhaust hood extinguishing systems and <br /> associated portable fire extinguishers in place to protect commercial cooking appliances <br /> shall be UL 300 compliant before January 1, 2015. For the purposes of this Code, <br /> commercial cooking appliances may be defined as those appliances used to prepare foods <br /> sold for money or to raise money, or as regular part or service in commercial enterprise. <br /> The determination of use for commercial purposes shall be determined by the authority <br /> having jurisdiction. <br /> 903.4.2 substitute: "...exterior of the building" for "...interior and exterior of the <br /> building". <br /> 912.2.1 add: The location of any Fire Department connection shall be indicated <br /> with a strobe located approximately ten feet above grade and within ten feet of the <br /> vertical axis of the Fire Department Connection. <br /> 1008.3.3 item 5. substitute: All public restrooms, dressing rooms and locker <br /> rooms. <br /> 10. EMERGENCY VEHICLE OPERATION. The driver of any emergency <br /> vehicle, as defined in Article II Section 6 of this ordinance, shall not sound the siren <br /> thereon or have the front red lights on or disobey any existing traffic regulation,except <br /> when said vehicle is responding to an emergency call or when responding to,but not <br /> upon returning from, a fire. Tactical strategies such as,but not restricted to,"move-ups" <br /> do not constitute an emergency call. <br /> 20. RULES AND REGULATIONS. The fire official may promulgate, publish <br /> and enforce reasonable rules and regulations to provide for procedures and practices and to <br /> otherwise implement the provisions, and to carry out the intent and purposes hereof. <br /> Section 2. That this ordinance amendment shall become effective on January 1, 2024. <br /> Section 3. That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause the <br /> provisions hereof to be appropriately set out in the City Code and to cause the same to be <br /> published in pamphlet form according to law. <br />
