We based our <br /> proposal on our discussions at the City's offices on January 5t" and our site walk. <br /> PROJECT UNDERSTANDING <br /> We understand the project consists of an above grade parking structure to be constructed behind the Barnes- <br /> Citizen building at 250 North Water Street in Decatur, Illinois.The parking structure is envisioned to provide up to <br /> 200 parking stalls to serve the adjacent building renovation and up to 50 city/public stalls. The parking structure <br /> will also include a top tier amenity deck with potential swimming pool.This site contained a parking structure in <br /> the past, which was demolished due to poor condition. The new parking structure is envisioned to encompass a <br /> similar footprint, which is included in Exhibit A. <br /> We understand Walker Consultants (Walker) will be a consultant to the City of Decatur. Walker will perform as <br /> the overall project lead professional and will be responsible for overall project coordination. Walker will be the <br /> professional responsible for the concept parking functional design and overall planning. Walker will retain CCS <br /> International as a subconsultant for construction cost estimating. We have included a project manager in our <br /> professional fee to lead the Walker design team and coordinate all work with the overall Project Team. <br /> The services to be provided by Walker include concept design described in the attached section titled "Scope of <br /> Services". After completion of concept design, Walker can provide a proposal for schematic design, design <br /> development, construction documents, bidding and permitting, and construction contract administration phase <br /> services. The professional fees and expenses for the services to be provided by Walker are described in the <br /> attached section titled "Professional Fees".
