RESOLUTION NO. R-W,:.4-1i 7 <br /> RESOLUTION INDICATING INTENT TO ANNEX AN <br /> UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY, SETTING A HEARING TO <br /> CONSIDER SUCH ANNEXATION,AND DIRECTING <br /> PUBLICATION OF HEARING NOTICE <br /> -3170 N. WESTLAWN- <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur desires to annex a certain unincorporated territory <br /> containing sixty(60) acres or less, located on 3170 N. Westlawn, and more specifically described <br /> as follows: <br /> The South 2 '/2 acres of the North 21 '/2 of the West Half(W '/z) of the West Half(W %2) of the <br /> Southwest Quarter(SW 1/4) of Section Thirty-Three (33) Township Seventeen (17)North, Range <br /> Two (2) East of the Third P.M.,which is situated in the County of Macon, In the State of Illinois.; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS,the area to be annexed is wholly bounded by the City's corporate limits; and, <br /> WHEREAS,the City is authorized to annex the area without a petition pursuant to 65 ILCS <br /> 5/7-1-13. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS, as <br /> follows: <br /> 1. The City Clerk be,and she is hereby,directed to publish a Notice of Intent to Annex <br /> the property described herein at the City Council's regular meeting on April 1, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. <br /> Said Notice of Intent to Annex is attached hereto as Exhibit A and hereby made a part hereof. <br /> 2.
