RESOLUTION NO. R-may—4G <br /> RESOLUTION INDICATING INTENT TO ANNEX AN <br /> UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY, SETTING A HEARING TO <br /> CONSIDER SUCH ANNEXATION,AND DIRECTING <br /> PUBLICATION OF HEARING NOTICE <br /> -3833 W.DIVISION- <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur desires to annex a certain unincorporated territory <br /> containing sixty(60) acres or less, located on 3833 W. Division, and more specifically described <br /> as follows: <br /> Lot Thirteen(13) of the Resurvey of Lots Eight(8),Nine (9) and Ten(10)of West <br /> Sunny Side Heights First Addition, except the East 225 feet of said Lot 8, as per <br /> Plat recorded in Book 300, Page 327 of the Record in the Recorder's Office of <br /> Macon County, Illinois. Situated in Macon County, Illinois; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the area to be annexed is wholly bounded by the City's corporate limits; and, <br /> WHEREAS,the City is authorized to annex the area without a petition pursuant to 65 ILCS <br /> 5/7-1-13. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS, as <br /> follows: <br /> 1. The City Clerk be,and she is hereby,directed to publish a Notice of Intent to Annex <br /> the property described herein at the City Council's regular meeting on April 1, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. <br /> Said Notice of Intent to Annex is attached hereto as Exhibit A and hereby made a part hereof. <br /> 2.
