NOTICE OF INTENT TO ANNEX <br /> PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to the Illinois Municipal Code, 65 ILCS 5/7-1-13, <br /> notice is hereby given that the annexation of the surrounded territory described below is <br /> contemplated by the City Council of the City of Decatur,Illinois,and that they propose to consider <br /> and take action on an ordinance annexing such surrounded territory at a regular meeting of the <br /> Decatur City Council on April 1, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, #1 Gary K. <br /> Anderson Plaza, Decatur, Illinois. <br /> The territory under consideration consists of 1 tract of property totaling approximately 0.59 <br /> acres and being more commonly known as Lot West of 3555 W. Catherine (PIN 04-12-06-427- <br /> 018), is wholly surrounded by the city of Decatur corporate limits and is legally described as <br /> follows: <br /> Lots Three (3) and Four (4) of Handy Acres, a resurvey of Lots Fifteen (15) and <br /> Sixteen(16)of Virginia Second Addition in the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast <br /> Quarter of Section 6, Township 16 North, Range 2 East of the Third Principal <br /> Meridian as per Plat Recorded in Book 300, Page 265 of the Records in the <br /> Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois. <br /> DATED this 20th day of February, 2024. <br /> CITY <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS <br /> EXHIBIT A <br />
