Sunset Ave. (04-12-16-354-024); and, WHEREAS, the area to be annexed is wholly bounded by the City's corporate limits; and, WHEREAS,the City is authorized to annex the area without a petition pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/7-1-13. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS, as follows: 1. The City Clerk be,and she is hereby,directed to publish a Notice of Intent to Annex the property described herein at the City Council's regular meeting on April 1, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. Said Notice of Intent to Annex is attached hereto as Exhibit A and hereby made a part hereof. 2. That said Notice of Intent to Annex shall be published once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Decatur not less than ten (10) days prior to the City Council's consideration of said annexation ordinance.
