Martin Luther King Jr Drive <br /> Decatur, IL 62521 <br /> Subject: Water Facilities PLC Upgrades City Project 2024-29 <br /> Concentric Project Number: 0230159.00 <br /> Dear Mr.Alexander: <br /> The City's existing remote PLC panels are "decades old" and utilize Allen-Bradley SLC-500 and MicroLogix 1500 <br /> PLCs,which are either completely discontinued(ML1500s)or partially discontinued(SLC500) by the manufacturer. <br /> Upgrading the PLCs will avoid unexpected downtime from antiquated equipment, reduce the future maintenance <br /> costs, and resolve some communication / alarming issues. Concentric Integration is proposing the upgrades of <br /> the following sites: <br /> • Master Radio Control Panel <br /> • SCC12 -Williams St. Reservoir <br /> • SCC14- Fairview river level monitoring station at the Sangamon River <br /> • SCC15 - Friends Creek level monitoring station <br /> • SCC16- Long Creek level monitoring station <br /> • SCC17- Monticello River level monitoring station <br /> • SCC18-Division Street Tank <br /> • SCC19-Garfield Tank and radio relay station <br /> • SCC20- Brush College Tap <br /> • SCC22 -Franklin St.Tank <br /> • BPS- Booster Pump Station located next to the Raw Pump Station <br /> • Chlorine Dioxide system control PLC <br /> • Dam Radio <br /> Also, as part of this project, Concentric will setup, program, and deploy the first of two phases to implement a <br /> new SCADA system built on the Inductive Automation Ignition platform that will completely replace the current <br /> iFix system. <br /> 8678 Ridgefield Rd..
