Resolution awarding a contract for the State of Illinois Joint Purchasing Agreement amount of$619,240.81 to Sutton <br /> Ford Inc. for the Purchase of Four (4) 2024 Ford Explorer Police Patrol Vehicles, Five (5) 2024 Ford Explorer Police <br /> Admin Vehicles and One(1)2024 Ford F-150 Police Command Responder Vehicle. <br /> The bids include the cost of the vehicles along with the Police Department equipment required for up fitting. <br /> 2. Resolution awarding a contract for the bid amount of$67,685.00 to CDS Office Technologies for the Purchase of <br /> computer equipment for Four(4)2024 Ford Explorer Police Patrol Vehicles,and One(1)2024 Ford F-150 Police Command <br /> Responder Vehicle. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The City of Decatur Police Department has requested Four(4)2024 Ford Explorer Police Patrol Vehicles,Five(5)2024 Ford <br /> Explorer Police Admin Vehicles and One(1)2024 Ford F-150 Police Command Responder Vehicle to replace old units due to <br /> mileage and condition. <br /> The vehicles being replaced are: <br /> Unit 841 a 2015 Ford Interceptor with 130,470 miles. <br /> Unit 842 a 2016 Ford Interceptor with 145,600 miles. <br /> Unit 844 a 2016 Ford Interceptor with 114,458 miles. <br /> Unit 864 a 2008 Ford Interceptor with 86,026 miles. <br /> Unit 882 a 2007 Ford Interceptor with 114,593 miles. <br /> Unit 863 a 2013 Ford Interceptor with 167,600 miles. <br /> Unit 865 a 2017 Ford Interceptor with 132,981 miles. <br /> Unit 866 a 2016 Ford Interceptor with 158,844 miles. <br /> Unit 867 a 2017 Ford Interceptor with 119,823 miles. <br /> Unit 868 a 2016 Ford Interceptor with 153,970 miles. <br /> The replacement vehicles are estimated to be delivered in 60 to 90 days. <br /> In the future,we intend to move toward hybrid vehicles for police vehicles,but they were not offered at this time due to battery <br /> plant issues with the manufacturer and will resume production in 2025. <br />
