MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> DECATUR CITY PLAN COMMISSION <br /> Thursday, May 2, 2024 <br /> City Council Chamber, Decatur Civic Center <br /> I. Call to Order and Determination of a Quorum <br /> The May 2, 2024, meeting of the Decatur City Plan Commission was called to order at 3:00 P.M. in <br /> the City Council Chamber, Third Floor of the Decatur Civic Center, by Chairman Susie Peck who <br /> determined a quorum was present. <br /> Members Present: A.G Webber, Matt Naber, Bobby Garner, Maurice Payne, Jim Schwarz, Josh <br /> Prasun, James Oliver, Susie Peck <br /> Members Absent: Jason Drake, Andrew Taylor <br /> Staff Present: Joselyn Stewart, Deanna Buck, Amanda Wiese, Cordaryl Patrick <br /> II. Approval of Minutes of the March 14,2024, City Plan Commission Meeting <br /> It was moved and seconded(Jim Schwarz/Matt Naber) to approve the minutes of the March 14, <br /> 2024, meeting of the Decatur City Plan Commission. Motion carried. <br /> III. New Business <br /> A. Case No. 24-07 Petition of DOUGLAS ROYER, to rezone the properties located at 726 <br /> NORTH MAIN STREET AND 701-725 NORTH WATER STREET from M-2 Heavy <br /> Industrial District to M-1 Intense Commercial-Light Industrial District. <br /> It was moved and seconded (Matt Naber/Bobby Garner) to forward Case No. 24-07 to the City <br /> Council with a recommendation of approval as set forth in the staff report. <br /> Joselyn Stewart discussed staff's recommendation for approval of the petition based on the staff report <br /> distributed to the Plan Commission prior to the meeting (staff report is on file and is available for <br /> reviewing by request). <br /> Property owner not present due to being out of Country. A G Webber asked if this is the old bakery. <br /> City Staff responded that the site is the old bakery. <br /> Upon call of the roll,Commission members A.G Webber,Matt Naber,Bobby Garner,Maurice Payne, <br /> Jim Schwarz, Josh Prasun, James Oliver, Susie Peck voted aye. Motion carried. <br />
