MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE DECATUR CITY PLAN COMMISSION Thursday, May 2, 2024 City Council Chamber, Decatur Civic Center I. Call to Order and Determination of a Quorum The May 2, 2024, meeting of the Decatur City Plan Commission was called to order at 3:00 P.M. in the City Council Chamber, Third Floor of the Decatur Civic Center, by Chairman Susie Peck who determined a quorum was present. Members Present: A.G Webber, Matt Naber, Bobby Garner, Maurice Payne, Jim Schwarz, Josh Prasun, James Oliver, Susie Peck Members Absent: Jason Drake, Andrew Taylor Staff Present: Joselyn Stewart, Deanna Buck, Amanda Wiese, Cordaryl Patrick II. Approval of Minutes of the March 14, 2024, City Plan Commission Meeting It was moved and seconded(Jim Schwarz/Matt Naber) to approve the minutes of the March 14, 2024, meeting of the Decatur City Plan Commission. Motion carried. III. New Business A. Case No. 24-07 Petition of DOUGLAS ROYER, to rezone the properties located at 726 NORTH MAIN STREET AND 701-725 NORTH WATER STREET from M-2 Heavy Industrial District to M-1 Intense Commercial-Light Industrial District. It was moved and seconded (Matt Naber/Bobby Garner) to forward Case No. 24-07 to the City Council with a recommendation of approval as set forth in the staff report. Joselyn Stewart discussed staff's recommendation for approval of the petition based on the staff report distributed to the Plan Commission prior to the meeting (staff report is on file and is available for reviewing by request). Property owner not present due to being out of Country. A G Webber asked if this is the old bakery. City Staff responded that the site is the old bakery. Upon call of the roll,Commission members A.G Webber,Matt Naber,Bobby Garner,Maurice Payne, Jim Schwarz, Josh Prasun, James Oliver, Susie Peck voted aye. Motion carried.
