RESOLUTION NO. O (p(p <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION AND AGREEMENT OF FY2023 SAFE <br /> STREETS AND ROADS FOR ALL GRANT AGREEMENT WITH FEDERAL HIGHWAY <br /> ADMINISTRATION <br /> WHEREAS, the United States Department of Transportation's (USDOT) Federal Highway <br /> Administration has the authority to make such Grants and makes funds available to offset eligible costs <br /> required for planning and impriving the safety of the nation's streets; and <br /> WHEREAS,grants for said funds will impose certain obligations upon the recipient as outlined in the <br /> Grant Agreement. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR,ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the City of Decatur, Illinois enter into a Safe Streets and Roads For All (SS4A) <br /> Agreement ("Agreement") with the Federal Highway Administration and amend such Agreement if <br /> necessary. <br /> Section 2. That the City Manager of the City of Decatur, Illinois is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> execute on behalf of the City of Decatur the Grant Agreement or subsequent Grant Agreement <br /> Amendments. <br /> Section 3. That staff of the City of Decatur is hereby authorized and directed to sign such documents <br /> as may be required by the Department to request payment or fulfill the Grant obligations for the project <br /> funding authorized under aforesaid Grant Agreement. <br /> PRESENTED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of Ir! <br /> Julie Moore Wolfe,Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Kim Althoff,City Clerk <br />
